Hardness testing

Hardness testing quickly indicates the state of a material. It is one of the most commonly used methods to verify the mechanical properties and regularity of heat or plastic treatment of metal alloys. Measurement is performed on stationary equipment in the Vickers, Brinell and Rockwell hardness scales.

Microhardness testing

We use the Vickers hardness test to measure phase and micro-structural components in metal alloys, single grains and non-metallic inclusions, with loads of less than 1 kg. The Vickers test enables to examine the following phenomena:

  • diffusion processes

  • plastic deformation effects

  • anisotropic material properties

  • the influence of various factors and processes on the properties of materials
